Note: Please remember, only those judges who have been in office two years or more are eligible to receive certification through these seminars. Any other judge may register for these seminars, but will not be eligible for certification.
When the Training Center has received a completed registration form and provided the seminar is still open to registration a confirmation letter with specific information such as hotel location, verification of sleeping accommodations, and any other new or changed information will be mailed to you.
If the seminar has already been filled and your registration form was complete, a regret letter with a list of seminar sites still available will be mailed to you. You will then have the option of choosing another seminar. Please allow at least 4 weeks from the time you send in your registration form, to receive a confirmation or regret letter.
Cancellations must be received no later than 2 weeks prior to the seminar start date in order to receive a reimbursement of the registration fee/overhead assessment. Persons who register and “No-Show” or do not cancel 2 weeks prior to the seminar start date will not be eligible to a receive registration or overhead assessment refund.
Hotel Reservations: The Training Center makes all hotel reservations for the seminars listed in this catalog. You should only call the hotel for medical emergencies, early or late arrival, directions, or to reach an attendee of the seminar. The hotel will not give you reservation information. If you wish to make a change to your reservations, please do so by choosing Edit/Cancel button under online registration and selecting edit. Your confirmed hotel accommodations will be listed in the confirmation letter.
Room Selection: There is a section on the enclosed registration form for you to choose the type of room reservation you require. You must select from the choices provided on the form. If you leave this section blank the form will be returned to you as incomplete.
* Pursuant to the grant conditions, the registration fee is mandatory and is returned to the grant to be spent as restricted funds. The Texas State University Overhead Assessment is used for activity expenses that the Grant cannot cover, such as excess meal and break costs, salary supplements, etc. These unrestricted funds are deposited into the Texas State University account. Counties or individuals who cannot afford the Overhead Assessment may request a waiver.
