The Training Center requires all new Justices of the Peace to take an assessment prior to attending Stage I. The results of the assessment will allow us to place you in the appropriate training group for the seminar. Please take the assessment and submit it no later than Wednesday, December 1, 2010.
There are two ways to take the assessment:
Take the assessment online:
1. The link below will take you to the Stage I Assessment.
2. You must be registered with the Training Center.
3. Log in using your first name, last name and county as provided to the Training Center.
4. Take the assessment and click “Submit” (a pop-up will confirm your submission).
Take the assessment on paper: Your registration packet contains the assessment and an answer sheet. Write your full name and county on the answer sheet provided. Take the 50 question assessment and mail back your answer sheet to the Training Center at 701 Brazos, Ste. 710, Austin, TX 78701.
Videos: Additionally, the Training Center has created a series of videos designed to give new Justices of the Peace basic knowledge on the Judiciary, office holding, ethics, civil and criminal procedure, juvenile law, magistration, inquests, and additional resources. The Training Center encourages new Justices of the Peace to watch these videos prior to taking the Stage I assessment. You must be registered with the Training Center to watch the videos.
