Webinars

Webinars are educational courses that attendees can watch from the comfort of their office. TJCTC uses the GoToWebinar software to provide webinars. Webinars are free of charge and available to all Judges and Court Personnel until a course is filled.

2017 - 2018 Webinars

Webinars are spaced throughout the year depending on TJCTC's travel schedule.

What courses are taught?

19 webinars are offered throughout the year. We choose courses based on need and attendees' suggestions.

What is the difference in live and prerecorded webinars?

For live webinars, attendees will log in and connect with the GoToWebinar software and watch a webinar being presented in real time. Live webinars are designed for participants to ask questions during instruction. For prerecorded webinars, TJCTC will send out a link to a webinar video that has already been completed. Prerecorded webinars are created as a review and our followed up within the next month by a live Question and Answer webinar.

When can I register?

Registration is open now. Log in to your TJCTC profile and go to "Online Registration." Then, choose "Webinars."

Webinars & Judicial Education Hours

The Rules of Judicial Education allow Justices of the Peace to receive up to four hours out of the required 20 hours of education each year by electronic means, including webinars.

Beginning in September 2017, Justices of the Peace will also be able to watch archived webinars for credit. TJCTC will add up to four hours of archived webinars to Judges' transcripts. For the archived webinar form, click here.

Webinars cannot count for civil hours. Also, new Judges cannot use webinars toward their 80 hour requirement. However, they can attend as many webinars as they would like for additional hours.
