Cause and Manner of Death: Investigations at the Texas State University Body Farm
Join us for this unique workshop hosted by the Texas State University Forensic Anthropology program which will introduce justices of the peace to the role of being a forensic anthropologist in death investigations.
Please note: The hotel and the seminar site are not in the same location. Read below for more information.
Participants will stay at the Embassy Suites San Marcos.
Hotel check-in is at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 15th.
Hotel check-out is at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 17th.
A free breakfast will be provided each day in the lobby.
The educational portion of the program will be held at Freeman Ranch, a part of Texas State University. Freeman Ranch is a 15-minute drive from the Embassy Suites San Marcos.

The program will begin each day at 9:00 a.m. at Freeman Ranch.
Lunch will be provided on Monday, May 16th.
The program on Tuesday, May 17th will include a field activity. Please bring shoes that you don't mind getting dirty.
*Please note: The field activity will include viewing human remains in various stages of decomposition.
