    Hotel Information

    The Westin Austin at the Domain is located at 11301 Domain Drive, Austin, Texas 78758. Hotel check in time is 3:00 PM and check out time is 12:00 PM. If you arrive before your room is ready, the hotel will hold your luggage for you until it is ready.

    A line of credit must be established at the time of check-in. There will be a $100.00 fee for incidentals per night. Any unused funds will be refunded back to you at the time of check-out. If you use a debit card, these funds will be taken out immediately and you will not have access to these funds until they have been refunded back to your account. The hotel will not be responsible for any overdraft fees that are charged by your bank. Please be mindful of this if you use a debit card.

    The price you pay for your room is $55.00 per night inclusive of taxes and fees, this is paid to TJCTC, not the hotel. See your invoice in your profile for details. We do have a few rooms available for those that live further away and need to come in on Sunday, May 16th. Please contact Sarah McKinney via email at smm437@txstate.edu if you need to come in on Sunday. See seminar details below for more information.

    Self-Parking at the hotel is complimentary.

  • BRING A MASK!! Wearing a mask is mandatory at all times in the conference area. This is a requirement from our funding source, the Court of Criminal Appeals, and is a requirement of Texas State University, which we are affiliated with. If you are unable wear a mask during the entire conference, please reach out to Sarah McKinney at smm437@txstate.edu

    Due to Covid restrictions, we are having everyone print out their own handouts which will be found on our website by May 13, 2021. TJCTC will NOT supply any handouts for the class this year during the program. Handouts will also be available on our app - instructions on how to access our app will follow.

    Please bring a smartphone or tablet if you have one, we will be using these to participate in the class polls this year though our app. We will have instructions on how to access the app onsite.

    Meeting rooms may be cool, so please bring a light jacket or sweater. Dress code is business casual.

    Food and beverage will not be allowed in the meeting space at any time (this includes bottled water) however, we will have 15 minute breaks every 45 minutes and an extended lunch break.

  • All events - registration, sessions, and meals - will take place at the Westin Austin at the Domain.

    Registration:

    Registration will be open on Monday, May 17th from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM.

    Meals:

    There will be no meals provided on Monday May 17th, as the class is only from 1-4pm. We will be providing a light continental breakfast on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday morning, and a buffet lunch on Tuesday and Wednesday. Lunch on Thursday will be on your own as classes conclude at Noon. Meals provided by TJCTC are for attendees only, if you bring your spouse or family with you they will need to eat on their own. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance of the Westin in the Domain area. We will have a list of suggestions, if you need them, at the conference. Feel free to also check with the front desk when you check in.

    Handouts:

    Handouts are available on the TJCTC website through the handout tab. Be sure to bring or download your handouts prior to arrival. There will not be extra handouts available at the seminar.

    Download the App:

    A Separate email will follow with instructions on how to download the app. We will also have directions on site at the registration desk as well.

    Evaluations and Certifications:

    Evaluation links will be made available via the app; certification links will be available after the event is complete via the app.

    Please make sure you have filled out a sign in sheet upon registering and pick up your badge on Monday.
