Turbocharged Tenant Rights
In certain situations tenants have “special” rights beyond those normally presented in an eviction case. These rights are often triggered by statutes such as the Bankruptcy Act, the Protecting Tenants at Foreclosure Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Fair Housing Act, the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, and Section 8 of the Housing Act.
